Choose the Right - SAB
This piece was premiered for the October 2012 Relief Society Music Festival on Temple Square. This jovial, upbeat rendition is so enjoyable to sing and listen to. The children were delightful and their performance was too. "Choose the Right" 2-Part Children.
Offered here are transpositions for C instruments as well as B flat instruments. This obligato can be played by flute/clarinet duo, or 2 flutes, or 2 clarinets, or oboe and violin, whatever instrumentalists are available. My favorite combination is 2 clarinets.
Because of the arrangement's bouncy character, the tendency will be to to push the tempo too fast. Care should be taken not to rush so that the audience can savor the obligato and piano parts.
NEW - In response to recent requests, I am now offering VOCAL PARTS ONLY versions in SAB and SATB for Adult Choirs. I was able to condense the parts to 3 pages. (We're saving trees and copying expenses for large choirs.) You will still need to print out the full score for the conductor and the accompanist, plus the transpositions for the instrumentalists.

USER COMMENT: I wanted to share this comment with you from yesterday's Stake Conference. I had a youth choir do your SAB Choose the Right with flute and clarinet at the close of Stake Conference. It was a favorite among the youth. "That was the most amazing arrangement of Choose The Right I’ve ever heard. And the youth nailed it!
It brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart." My husband told me that my 7 year old said the YM’s “Choose the Right” was his favorite part of conference.
